C3i also receives notification and access to links and/or other publications in which it is identified/tagged. You should review the privacy settings applicable to such accounts/pages to validate the information they have access to and limit that access, if necessary.

How we disclose/share your personal information

C3i does not sell or otherwise market to third parties personal information in connection with this website. In addition, no personal information is shared or disclosed to third parties, or used for purposes other than those: (i) described in this Privacy Policy; (ii) required or permitted by law; or (iii) authorized by applicable individuals.

Related entities and affiliates

In the normal course of our business, we may share some of your personal information with affiliated entities and entities part of the same group, as well as with third parties acting on our behalf or as permitted or required by applicable law.

Authorized subcontractors

Storage

Our affiliates and/or entities part of the same group and/or subcontractors may be located outside of Canada, which may result in the storage or processing of personal information collected by C3i outside of Canada and, as a result, your personal information may be accessible to law enforcement, courts, and regulatory agencies in accordance with the laws of those foreign countries. Such disclosures outside of Canda will take place in accordance with applicable law.

Retention

Subject to applicable laws, C3i will retain and store personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy. To this end, C3i may retain and store personal information after the specific purposes for which it was collected have been fulfilled if it is reasonably necessary: (i) to comply with applicable laws or to prevent any infractions; (ii) to resolve any dispute; and (iii) to ensure the implementation of this Privacy Policy. Security measures implemented

Security

C3i uses measures to preserve the security and privacy of personal information, which are reasonable considering, in particular, its sensitivity, the purpose of its use, its quantity, its distribution, and its medium. In this regard, These measures include:

  • Limited collection and processing : C3i does not request that personal information be provided in connection with the website unless required to perform applicable permitted purposes, and the C3i only processes personal information for the purposes for which it was provided (subject to applicable laws), and C3i does not collect and process personal information other than as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
  • Limited access : Subject to applicable laws, the access to any personal information is granted to C3i’ employees and representatives (and as applicable to its affiliated entities/authorized subcontractors) on a “need-to-know” basis only, following the implementation of proper measures and in accordance with applicable law.
  • Subcontractors : Subcontractors are contractually bound to ensure the protection of personal information to which they have access in the performance of their duties, and to comply with applicable laws.
  • Privacy impact assessments : Privacy impact assessments are conducted when required in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Securing data in transit : When personal information is communicated to the C3i, a HTTPS or reCAPTCHA protocol is used, and the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology is used to protect personal information by using server authentication and data encryption. No personal information will be communicated prior to such technology being activated, which can be confirmed by looking (i) at the address bar which will, depending on the browser, have a lock to the left of the website address (URL); and (ii) at the URL or the address bar of the browser, where the first characters of the address should change from “http” to “https”.
  • Secure data centers : The website is hosted on a secure and private platform provided by a recognized IT provider.
  • Confidentiality Incident : If C3i has reasons to believe that a confidentiality incident involving personal information has occurred, then C3i will take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of harm and prevent the occurrence of future incidents. If such incident presents a risk of serious harm being caused, then C3i will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the persons concerned. C3i may also notify any person susceptible of reducing this risk (by communicating only the necessary Personal Information). Finally, C3i will comply with the other requirements of the law.

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

Despite the foregoing, you should keep in mind that NO TECHNOLOGY IS EVER INFALLIBLE OR FULLY PROTECTED AGAINST UNFORESEEABLE OR FORCE MAJEURE EVENTS, CYBERATTACKS OR UNAUTHORIZED USES AND ACCESS, AND USERS SHALL BE AWARE THAT THERE IS A RISK IN ANY TRANSMISSION OF DATE (INCLUDING E-TRANSMISSIONS). AS SUCH, THE C3I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT SUCH INFORMATION WILL NEVER BE INTERCEPTED OR VIEWED OR SUBJECT TO OTHER INCIDENTS. SUCH EVENTS MAY OCCUR, PURSUANT TO WHICH DEVICES OR SYSTEMS CAN BE ACCESSED OR CONTROLLED BY UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS, AND UNDESIRABLE COMMUNICATIONS AND INVITATIONS MAY BE RECEIVED. SHOULD YOU RECEIVE A COMMUNICATION THAT LOOKS LIKE IT IS FROM C3I ASKING FOR PERSONAL INFORMATION, YOU SHALL AVOID RESPONDING TO SUCH COMMUNICATIONS. C3I WILL NEVER REQUEST FINANCIAL AND OTHER SENSITIVE INFORMATION THAT WAY. IF YOU HAVE COMMUNICATED PERSONAL INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO A SUSPICIOUS E-MAIL, POP-UP OR PHONY WEBSITE CLAIMING TO BE AFFILIATED WITH C3I OR IF ANY OF THE FOREGOING EVENTS TAKES PLACE, PLEASE CONTACT C3I IMMEDIATELY.
Each individual is also responsible to take steps reasonably required to protect their Personal Information.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

C3i may change this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time. The amended Privacy Policy will be posted on the website. We will notify you of any material changes to our Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this policy regularly. If you do not agree with any such changes, you must cease accessing and using the website before such changes become effective; thereafter, any access to and use of such changes will constitute acceptance of such changes.

Severability

If any provision conflicts with any law or is not enforceable, that provision shall be severable from the remaining provisions and shall be deemed rewritten to be valid and enforceable while respecting, as far as possible, its original intent.

Force majeure

C3i is not responsible for any damage caused by any force majeure event.

Applicable law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws in force in Quebec, excluding any principles or rules that could lead to the application of foreign laws. Any disputes which cannot be resolved by direct and good faith negotiations shall be submitted to the courts of the Province of Quebec, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle such dispute.
